Reversing Distributions

Reversing a distribution is very similar to completing a distribution.

Warning:

Before proceeding, please note that once a distribution is reversed, it cannot be undone. Reversing a distribution is a permanent action. Please exercise caution before proceeding.

The first step is to open up the side bar and select the "Distributions" tab. In this tab, there is a menu item titled "Reverse Distribution". Clicking this will open up the reverse distribution page.

Distribution Page

Note that the distribution page is very similar to the reverse page. You'll notice that there are two rows on the page, with three boxes in each row. The rows relate to the type of taxes you may be collecting; ie. Real Estate or Per Capita. If you only have one of those types of taxes, then you don't have to worry about the other type as you wont't ever be touching it.

In each of the rows there are three boxes. The boxes relate to a taxing body.

To reverse a distribution, you must first click the checkbox of the distribution type you want to reverse.

Then you will click on the red Reverse Distribution button located at the top right hand side of the page.

The system will allow you to reverse only one distribution for each type (County, Township, School) at a time as well as only the last distribution for that type.

Example

If you have done 3 distributions for the County and there was an error that ocurred on distribution number 2, you would need to reverse distribution number 3 first, then reverse distribution number 2 as well. Then, you would fix the error in distribution number 2, retake distribution 2, and then retake distribution number 3.
